This is a lovely vintage powder compact - which was made by Stratton in the 1950s.
It is in absolutely pristine condition - it has never been used and even has the Stratton paper label in the base of the powder section. The mirror is without marks - and all the catches work perfectly.
I love the "pie crust" edge - which forms an attractive shape.
It is shallow in depth and measures 8.5 cm (3 3/4 inches) in diameter.
This compact is now over 70 years old. I think that it would be suitable for containing loose powder - but sadly not modern pressed powder cakes.
The enamel decoration on the lid is so pretty - and love all the colours. It is perfect. The design on the lid was made by Norman Arlott - a noted wildlife illustrator.
My price reflects the quality of this fine compact - and also its perfect condition. I have taken lots of images for your inspection.
It will be sent to you with Royal Mail Recorded in the UK This will cost £4.95 and applied to your order at the checkout.
