This is a lovely little mid-century piece of Scottish Glass by Vasart / Pirelli (but missing its original paper label).
It dates to the 1950s and contains a flattened paperweight in the base of the dish.
The base section is of typical Vasart form and consists of a carpet of conjoined canes - all the millefiori canes in the dish are seem to be different. They are set into a white mottled ground and all cased in thick clear glass. The interior of the dish is slightly domed.
The base has a typical unpolished pontil mark seen on vintage Vasart weights. This little dish is in excellent condition with no damages. It is quite a substantial one - with a thick clear glass raised edge all around the central weight section.
Dimensions: The dimensions of the little dish or bowl is 3 1/4 inches in diameter and the height is 1 1/2 inches. The thickness of the side walls just over 1/2 inch.
It will be sent to you in the UK with Royal Mail Recorded Post. This will be applied to your order at the checkout.
