This is a nice decorative desk lamp that would be good on an office desk or as an accent light for a corner or display shelf.
It is not a heavy lamp and is made of a lightweight aluminum material that has been sprayed (in the making) with an anodized copper-gold tone. It dates to the 1960s.
The base is a pressed metal dome - with a faux wood base cover on the bottom. It has a white plastic finger switch toggle on the base. From the base rises a hollow chrome tube - the cable to the bulb section runs through this and out the top and curves into the smaller end of the shade. There are decorative white grommets on each end of the cable here.
The shape is a silver aluminum tone inside and again with an anodized gold tone to the exterior - some very minor and tiny scratches to this finish - not disfiguring and certainly not obvious on display - but only under more close-up inspection - I have photographed this for you.
About two-meter length of cable is on the lamp.
There is no maker's mark on the lamp - but it looks like it is British made - and it would take a bayonet bulb.
Good looking mid-century modern lamp - it will look fab in a stylish interior with Scandi-modern furniture.
It is sold as in working condition - but as with everything electrical which is pre-loved - it might be a good idea to have a friendly electrician give it a quick check over.
Dimensions: height is about 14 1/2 inches. The diameter of the base is 6 inches. The shade is 4 3/4 inches in diameter and 6 inches in length
My price takes into consideration it has not been assigned to a specific designer and is not of the best quality in the making - but still is an attractive piece for the price.
