This is a very attractive vintage paperweight. I am attributing on stylistic basis to being one made by AVeM (Arte Vetraria Muranese) as part of their Crown Millefiori issues.
The crown is covered all over with white latticino ribbons all joined together - with a criss-cross pattern all over each ribbon. On the top of the weight - we have seven tutti-frutti coloured millefiori canes randomly placed as a decorative feature. This is a common design used by Toso.
It would have probably have had an old red Made In Murano / Italy label on the base, but this is now lost over time.
In lovely vintage condition with no chips or cracks.
It measures just over 1 3/4 inches in height - and with a diameter of just over 2 1/2 inches. It is unpacked. 255 grams, so we could post it outside of the UK.
My asking price takes into consideration just how exquisitely made this example is and just how good it looks on display!
