This is a rare and collectable vintage puppet that dates to the late 1960s or very early 1970s.
He is made of hard plastic - and is dressed in a cotton boxing robe.
As you can see - he is in completely pristine vintage condition - and I don't think that he has ever been played with.
Underneath his robe his body consists of a thick plastic rod - which has at the top two-finger paddles or switches - that you press on with your fingertips with these control the movements of the puppet's arms - press one and one arm extends in a job - and press the other to mirror this action.
I think that the puppet has been modelled on Muhammad Ali - the champion boxer - who was known as "the greatest!
He comes in his original box - which states that the puppet was made in Spain by a company called Cremeal.
The language in the box is both English and Spanish.
He is very rare, especially in the original box, and in such beautiful "as new" condition. This is reflected in my price.
The height of the puppet is about 12 inches.
