On offer are these two early 1960s pieces of Whitefriars Glass.
The first is a simple minimalistic teardrop shape. The pattern number is 9571. It was first introduced in 1961. The vase has a central section of the fabulous Kingfisher Blue glass – and this is cased in a thick layer of clear glass. The side have shallow dimples towards the base on each side. The height is 8 ¼ inches
The second vase is Baxter’s Three Sided Vase designed by Geoffrey Baxter. Again with the lovely blue colour on the interior with three sides case with clear and sweeping straight down and with an outwards flurry at the base. This one is pattern number 9570. The height is 9 ½ inches.
They are both very minimalistic in design and always looks great on display on Scandi-modern or G-plan furniture. These Whitefriars pieces amazingly remain rather undervalued in the market - and they are certainly more affordable than similar 60s Swedish glass - so always good investment pieces.
I am listing each vase at only £18 each, so good started pieces for for your collection.
Both are in good vintage condition with no chips or cracks. There is no staining or marks to the glass inside either vase.
Postage will be with Royal Mail Tracked (Small Parcel). This will be applied to your order at the checkout.
