The Jasba company was founded in 1926 by Jakob Schwaderlapp in Ransbach-Baumbach (who went on to form Ceremano in 1959). The name is derived from his name and the town where it was located.
My fine Art Pottery vase must date to the 1970s when the company closed and ceased making these beautiful and much sought-after vases.
Production of vases ceased in 1975.
This is a nice decorative handled vase or pitcher / jug.
It has a glossy brown coloured interior. The exterior is a dark brown base shade - and on top of this is a mottled shiny grey glaze with a spotted effect. There are two bands of abstract shapes to the base - each shape has a glossy tangerine orange dot in the center.
A lovely decorative piece of West German art pottery.
Dimensions: height is 10 inches. The diameter at the widest point is 5 1/4 inches.
Weight unpacked is 920 grams.
Because of the size - this vase will have to be sent as a medium-size parcel with Royal Mail to keep it safe in transit - hence the slightly more expensive postage quote for you.
