This is a pretty little vintage 1980s Scottish paperweight. It was made by Caithness Glass on behalf of Edinburgh Crystal.
It has a little E cane (for Edinburgh Crystal) on the millefiori ring border on the dark blue / black ground.
The weight has a dark blue, nearly black ground and has a polished base. There is no lettering etc on the base of the paperweight.
The edge of the weight is embellished with a decorative pattern forming a ring of tiny millefiori canes. In the centre is a flower head with pale pink and lilac petals.
It is in perfect condition with no damage of any kind. There are a couple of white marks in my photographs - these are not blemishes on the paperweight but are reflections from the glass. There are a couple of tiny air bubbles within the clear glass of the crown.
Dimensions: The height is 2 3/4 inches and the width at the widest point is 2 1/4 inches. The weight unpacked is 440 grams
These weights made for Edinburgh Crystal are really fine quality ones - and today are not so easy to source - this is reflected in my asking price.
