This is a vintage 20th century Danish brooch. There is a stamp on the wide c-clasp where the pin hooks into. The mark is on the round curl and it is difficult to make out. There looks like there may be three or four impressed letters for the maker - these are stretched on the curved of the catch sadly making them illegible. But I can see the silver mark 803 S commonly used to Danish silver jewellery.
The design consists of four long heart shape leaves - interspaced with curling tendrils between. The whole design looks very Art Nouveau in style - and some aspects remind me of early Jensen pieces - but it is definately not a Jensen piece! The brooch is oval in shape. It looks nicely finished from the back too. There is an old fashioned hinge for the long pin.
Dimensions: it is 5 cm x 3.7 cm. So a nice larger size.
