This is a lovely pair of vintage Scandinavian studio pottery miniature cups and saucers.

They date to the 1960s and are quite rare designs.

They were made by Ditlev Keramiks, Denmark - with impressed marks on the base.

Henrik Ditlev Larsen originally worked as a potter at the Lars Syberg Pottery in the 1940s and 1950s.

He subsequently worked with Bjorn Wiinblad and made blanks for Winblad who would decorate them. In 1956 Ditlev started his own pottery at Lyngby and later worked with Wiinblad again in the 1970s at the Nymolle pottery.

Ditlev's pots always show his skill in using the potter's wheel and his use of subtle glazes is also very attractive - his domestic pieces are often made in stoneware and are very utilitarian in design.

These cups are typical of his work. They are two-tone with a glazed grey speckled upper half - and a matt chocolate brown base section - the saucer is grey on the top and brown below.

Great for your morning expresso and of course very stylish: and now highly collectable.

The cup measures 1 3/4 inches in height - the diameter of the rim is 2 1/4 inches and from rim to handle is 3 1/2 inches.

The saucer has a diameter of just over 4 3/4 inches

All pieces are in excellent condition with no damages.

Just so there is no confusion - this listing is for 2 cups and 2 saucers.

I have 4 pairs available in total if you need more than these ones - select more with the down arrow box. Shipping for more than one set will be capped at the price to send the one, as a discount.
