This is one of four vintage Dansk silverplate paperweights or little models that I am listing on the website.
This one is a little stylised rabit. He is seated forming a ball shape with his two ears sticking up.
These paperweights are highly collection desk accessories. They date to the 1970s / 1980s and were designed by the Swedish silversmith, Gunnar Cyren (1931 - 2013) for Dansk Design. They were made in Japan - as feature zoo and farms series. Each animals has a modernist mimalistic design. They are heavy being made of solid zinc with the silver plating on top.
The series includes various animals such as penguins, camels, antelopes, polar bears, rhinos, giraffes, hippos, seals, and mice.
All my animals are sold in original black Dansk retail box - and have never been on display - always having been kept in the boxes. My price reflects their excellent condition and being with original box.
