This is a sweet little vintage 1960s hardback book.
It was published by Blackie & Co. This is a first edition - as released in this separate issue in 1966.
It is in good vintage condition, Nice and clean with no inscriptions or scribbles inside.
I love the dust jacket - there are a total of four colour illustrations inside and a number of headers and endpieces in black and white throughout.
The book was written by Amabel William-Ellis (1894 - 1984) and she was an early member of the Bloomsbury Group. She was married to Clough Williams-Ellis - the architect who designed the Portmeirion village in Wales - and mother of Susan William-Ellis, designer of Portmeirion Ceramics.
The book has over 300 pages. The illustrations were by William Stobbs.
Taken lots of images for your inspection. I also have another volume of tales in my store - postage for the pair would be the same as for one volume.
It would be sent with Royal Mail 2nd Class Recorded and this would be £4.95 and applied at check out.
An interesting volume for you if you collect Portmeirion related items.
