This is a hard to source piece of Japanese Art Glass. It takes the form of a amorphic vase with a central bowl section from which rises two tall vertical wings on each side.
It is made of a clear dark ruby red glass - and has a black, white and grey glass decorative swirl on the base, as photographed. It is a nice large piece - the top of each wing is about 12 inches. The base has a diameter of 4 inches. The width at the widest is 8 1/2 inches.
It has its original paper label / sticker on the side - which was used on Marti Glass wares. The company was also known as Multi Glass and was previously called FTG, as in Fukuoka Glass. They produced colourful pieces which often included these type of coiking swirls in the main body.
My vase is in good condition with no damages, and listed at a very fair price. It will have to be sent to you Royal Mail Medium Tracked Parcel. This will be applied to your order at the checkout.
