This is a little miniature Melton Pattern Royal Crown Derby part teaset. The pieces date to the early 20th century.
These little miniature pieces would have been made for display in posh doll's houses.
Of course - they also make unusual little display items for collector's of Royal Crown Derby porcelain ware. The pieces are in good vintage condition and the gold gilding is all still in place with no rubbing on the rims as you might expect to find losses. In the main all pieces are without damage - but the little cup (boo hoo) has a little hairline crack running through it - which you dont see on display - but it is present.
Each piece is fully marked (as you might find on the "life-size" pieces), and I have take photographs of that for your inspection.
The set consists a/ the teapot. It is 4 cm in height from spout to handle is 7 cm. b/ the sugar bowl with lid is 3 cm in height and from handle to handle is 5 cm. c/ the little milk jug is 2.5 cm in height - and from spout to handle it is 4 cm. d/ the cup (a/f) height is 2 cm. From handle to rim it is 4.5 cm. and the matching saucer is 6 cm in diameter.
I am selling the pieces as the little set pictured. I shall break down the individual prices for you. The little teapot is £45 (no damages), The lidded sugar bowl is rarer £35 (no damages). The little milk jug is also £30. The little cup is £5 (due to the hairline) and the saucer is £15. Grand total of £130.
