This is a lovely vintage Murano glass paperweight.
It is certainly a bit of a large stunner. It has a scarlet red globule of glass forming a ground section - from which issues of a large single lime green flowerhead - with a large silvery air bubble in the centre.
The floral decoration is surrounded by a sea of controlled air bubbles.
It is a magnum size measuring 4 inches in height with a diameter of 4 1/4 inches. A big boy! Unpacked it is 1.8 kg
It is a genuine vintage Murano example - and it retains its original paper label - which is the blue and silver cockerel or rooster motif.
This label was used on Murano pieces and has the maker's initials AM on the left-hand side. The maker relating to the AM letters is still to be identified,
Despite the lack of specific attribution - it remains a most stunning piece and in excellent vintage condition with no damage.
