This is a very collectable and beautiful vintage Norwegian silver spoon,
The handle with its leafy Rococo swirls is now considered a Norwegian classic silver design.
The pattern has folk art origins and was based on wood carvings made by Rasmus Elvester. He lived in the Jotunheimen area in Norway.
This is an older piece of Art Nouveau Scandinavian silver - dating to the early 20th Century.
This is a good-sized tablespoon and would be good for serving smaller items at your formal dining table - or just as a pretty addition to your collection of vintage / antique Norwegian silver.
It is 18 cm in length and the model is No. 346.
A fair old weight to it - being about 75 grams in weight. It is 830S silver standard.
It is in good condition with no nasty damages - it is fully inscribed on the handle on the back - as photographed.
There are no dents, dings or inscriptions - there are a few very, very fine scratches to the bowl - commensurate with age - and only seen in a raking light - these are hardly visible - but mentioned here for full accuracy.
A lovely item and a fair price for this sought after design.
