This is an absolutely gorgeous porcelain figurine made in the 1950s by Rosenthal.
It shows a little playful Scottish terrier - a White West Highland Terrier or Westie.
It was designed by Fritz Heidenreich in 1957.
It is a nice large size measuring some 10 inches in height and with a width of about 6 1/2 inches and a depth of 3 1/2 inches.
Looks fabulous on display - and of course, my wee fellow is in perfect condition - with no damages or restorations.
He is certainly very expressive and the modeller has certainly caught the cheeky expression of the begging dog perfectly.
He has the Rosenthal mark on the underside of his wee tail, as photographed.
Given both his size, the delicacy of the modeling, and indeed the rarity of this figurine - my starting price remains a very fair one for his little poochie!
It is for UK posting only. It would have to be sent with Parcelforce24 with extra insurance. This will be applied to your order at the checkout.
