This is a delicate little 1980s silver brooch that takes the form of a decorative kilt pin. It would be a more decorative item rather than a sturdy functional pin.
It pin or brooch is marked on the back SS (for Shetland Silver). and with a an Edinburgh hallmark iwth the letter N for the year 1987.
The pin is 7.5 cm in length. The dagger-shape on the front is covered with a lace-like pattern is covered all over with a geometric pattern called "the line of Life".
This design has remained a much favoured one - and it is indeed still made today at Shetland Silver and retailed at £125. My one is vintage, pre-loved - but in just fantastic, as new condition. I have taken lots of images for your inspection.
It is in excellent condition and will be sent to you gleaming and in a simple card gift box, as shown.
It will be sent to you with Royal Mail Tracked Post. Please choose a SIGNED FOR SERVICE so I can insure the brooch in transit to you.
