This is fine original vintage Swedish stainless steel cutlery dating from around the 1950s (not a later contemporary re-issue).
Gense is the biggest manufacturer of cutlery made of stainless steel in Scandinavia.
The company was founded by Gustaf Eriksson in 1856 and over the years Gense has collaborated with some of the most renowned designers. Many of their early / mid 20th-century designs are still in production today and are considered design classics.
The stylish Egyptian-inspired design is called Thebes and it was originally designed by Folke Arstom in 1944.
Of course - like most items of Swedish design it is made to the highest standards of quality. Of offer here is a set of six forks measuring about 7 inches in length.
The forks are in a fine vintage condition - a few fine surface scratches - but now hard to find and minor signs of wear are quite acceptable.
