This is a very large 1970s West German floor vase. It was made by Scheurich and has the model number 409-52 on the base.
It is in good vintage condition and displays well.
It is 52 cm in height (20 1/2 inches x 8 inches diameter).
The main body colour is a rich glossy chocolate brown colour which is enlivened with abstract squares and geometric patterns in orange and red shades.
There are lots of fat lava textured volcanic glazes on the decoration which also form irregular raised abstract shapes. The vase has a chunky handle to one side.

It is 4.3 kg in weight so a bit of a stonker!
